Hi All

I hope we are keeping safe and well

Activities

Below are some links to web site resources that you may find helpful. William and Poppy have been trying out some these and they recommend you give some of them a try. Poppy has been playing with Rainbow bubbles for hours her mum said.

For the library link you need to generic activities - there are 3 pages of downloads for you on there, with everything from drawing, word searches, puzzles to swim analysis.

Supporting the family at home

A couple of links here to some really useful web sites that some parents and young people may find useful. -Thank you Dan for the one link - it was really helpful.

Marlins website

I am still looking for those videos, drawings, photographs, models etc to go onto the web site. There are now two video compilations on there - well done to those who have contributed. I have to say the effort being shown from those who have contributed so far is awesome. Have a look and see if you can get involved in the next one. If you do not want to your name on, not a problem. We are keeping the web site as up date as possible so keep checking back, there are new items going on there most days.

Helper/teacher payments

I know we are closed at the moment, but the treasurer informs me that he is still waiting to pay some teachers and helpers for the sessions they attended in March. Can you please send in your invoices asap. Do not forget that your invoices should be received by the end of the month, and we are not back dating payments so if you have not already done so, please send in your invoice asap. If you need a template, contact Alex as he has now set one up for you. Please send your invoices to treasurer@birmingham-marlins.co.uk

Rainbow pictures

How many of you have got rainbow drawings in your windows at home? Again if you want to send me a photo of those, I can put them onto Facebook and the web site, to show our support for NHS and to encourage everyone to keep safe at home.

NHS and key workers applause

How many of you took part in the applause for the NHS and for our key workers. Both Martin and I did, along with our neighbours. If you have videos please send them in, again we will upload to show our support. I would just like to take this opportunity to say, on behalf of Birmingham Marlins, a huge thank you to our members who are working on the front line. I know we have several members of the club who are out there every day working so hard within the NHS and within other sectors to support our community.

All sessions remain cancelled

I am sure you are all aware but all sessions remain cancelled until further notice. It is important that everyone keeps safe and stays at home.

Change of timetable for Training Squad on Tuesday night

When we re-open there is a change of timetable on a Tuesday night for Training squad. This session will now start at 7pm and end at 9pm (2 hour session) at KE Girls pool. Yes we have secured some additional pool time.

£15 membership fee

Thank you as most people have now paid their membership fee. If this has not yet been paid yet please do so, Alex (Treasurer) will be send you an email over the next week to find out whether you still wish to become a member of Birmingham Marlins.

Take Care, regards Karen
