And we've made a movie!
Been very busy couple of days. Completed 4 pool sessions so far, and one quiz night, one beach trip, several walks along the prom, games and land training.
Weather is very mixed with this morning being very windy, cold and snowy. Some very cold swimmers walking to and from the pool today, with coats being dried out along with trousers and sweatshirts. Soon found out who had waterproof coats and who didn’t!!
We have been to the beach and gathered shells, found a few crabs and built several sand castles. Several swimmers went paddling and got very wet 😊
At the end of the day, they were having great fun, so a few wet trousers and socks didn’t really seem that important, especially when it one little person’s very first time to a beach.
Lunch time is when most staff can have a small break, as all the swimmers are in one place, seated and calm, so yes staff are relaxed and not too tired.
All swimmers have got up on time and been ready to go out by 6.30am, and so far apart from a couple of drinks bottles and orange T Shirts, we have not had anyone missing anything. Group photo taken today but couple of swimmers missed out due to not have the right kit.
We have been out to the shops this morning, with the teenagers being allowed to go out and about by themselves for a couple of hours. Younger ones went out with me, whilst again some staff had a restful morning at the hotel.
Meal times have been very successful (great menu choices) as most plates have been cleared and no one has complained of being hungry (except Michael who always seems to be hungry regardless of time of day and when he last ate)
Several people locking themselves out of the room has resulted in a couple of room changes, so that they can put their doors on the latch, to prevent my legs from getting too tired, going up and down to let them back into their rooms. With one room locking themselves out 4 times in less 2 hours, resulted in now they not being in the room at all, except at night, and staff holding their key.
One room still had people talking at 2am (teenagers not little people) , didn’t they suffer for it in the next two swim sessions. They slept very well last night!
Just coming to lunch time now, and we plan to go out again this pm, followed by another swim session this evening, in which all swimmers will be taking part.
Tomorrow is very full on with a very busy schedule so unlikely I will have chance to do another update until late evening but everyone is very well, happy and enjoying themselves. No meltdowns, no major upsets, and no issues (lets hope I have not spoken too soon)

Arrived safe and sound. All swimmers love their allocated rooms, no issues and everyone happy with their roommates.
The plates were empty after our evening meal tonight, with everyone eating well. Some even had seconds.
First pool session completed with some great swims tonight. Hard work by everyone, although some seems very horrified by the fact, they needed to take a shower 😊
Fun and games in the day room before our evening meal tonight with group activities taking place including board games, drawing, Lego and dominos. No TV and so nice that everyone was playing games without any electronic devices, aiding and promoting the communications between us all.
Everyone is happy and settled for the evening, some already asleep, others settled and being quiet in the rooms, looking forward to another day
weather has been very kind to us today, we have had a lovely evening walk, in the cool but dry.
